We’re excited to announce that we have recently given our support to RSPCA WA by donating and installing new gates, fences and enclosures at their Animal Care Centre in Malaga to provide additional safe areas for rescued animals to run, play and relax. we’re also running a new initiative to incentivise local dog rescuers to get good fencing around their homes to prevent rescued pups from straying.

Being passionate about animal welfare – and with RSPCA WA just around the corner from our business – our community-minded team really wanted to both lend a hand and use their expertise.  And so, this month we are installing security fencing and gates at the front of the RSPCA Malaga campus, and we will also be installing a new 24×16 metre dog play area and a larger 34 metre fence to create another paddock.

Maree Daniels, RSPCA WA’s Executive Manager – Community Engagement says the organisation is extremely thankful to receive the support of businesses like Fencemakers.

“The new gates, fences and enclosures will provide additional safe areas for the animals in our care to run and play,” Ms Daniels says.

“We advocate de-sexing and micro-chipping for all pets, and would remind all dog owners to ensure their pet wears a collar with an identity tag at all times. Sadly, however, hundreds of animals a year end up in our care after they’ve been found unwanted or lost, and it’s important that the fencing in any home – particularly those where a dog is part of the family – is safe and secure, to avoid pets escaping.”

As an incentive for dog owners to get secure fencing and gates installed in their home, we are also offering to donate to the RSPCA for every referred fence installation.

All you have to do is mention you were referred to Fencemakers through the RSPCA and Fencemakers will donate $50 to the RSPCA in your honour to help save more animals.

Ricky Hee, Director of Fencemakers, commented: “We’re so happy to support such a fantastic organisation as the RSPCA WA, and we hope these initiatives will have a positive impact on the lives of many rescue dogs around Perth.”
